Coaching Faculty Members to Create TED-Style Talks to Showcase Their Research

UC-Faculty-Event-June2023

For the past two months, we’ve had the honor of working with 7 faculty members from the University of California system to create their 10-minute TED-style talks to showcase their research.

On June 21, they took the stage at the University of California Washington Program (UCDC)‘s Change the World Through Research event, hosted by Tanya Golash-Boza (who is a graduate of our Thought Leader Academy).

I know it was a challenge for them to condense all that they know into 10 minutes – which is where myself, Diane Diaz, and Joy Spencer came in as their coaches!

We helped them identify their throughline, integrate their personal stories (so important!), and create a talk that took the audience along their journey of discovery.

This is the power of public speaking to create social change.

Big congrats to the speakers for all their hard work, to Tanya for providing this awesome collaboration with Speaking Your Brand, and to Diane and Joy for their incredible coaching!

Join me in congratulating the speakers on my LinkedIn post.
