Our signature talks - our presentations - don’t live in a vacuum. We’re out there speaking and learning, but then who are we sharing those questions and lessons with?

  • Create or Refine Your Signature Talk Topic

    We'll make sure your topic is one that resonates with current trends in the marketplace to position you as an in-demand speaker.

    Using our unique and proven Signature Talk Canvas™, presentation framework, you'll create or refine your talk (could be a lead gen presentation, keynote, or workshop - it's up to you).

  • Add E.P.I.C. Layers to Your Presentation

    No more boring, same-as-everyone-else presentations. You want your talks to be inspired and memorable.

    Once you have your talk outlined, you'll start adding layers and depth to it:

     

    • powerful opening and closing
    • emotion and humor
    • video and music clips
    • audience engagement
    • stories with visual scenes and dialogue
  • Identify Your Framework

    You’ll identify the common steps you take your clients through to get them results. This differentiates you from others in your field and gives event organizers evidence of your unique intellectual property.

  • Market Yourself as a Speaker

    You'll work on the promotional materials and visibility plan you need to successfully market yourself as a speaker, including:

    • Your speaking fees and packages
    • Speaking page on your website
    • Your LinkedIn profile
    • Using LinkedIn to find speaking opportunities
    • What to include in your speaking demo video
    • Promotion plan for before, during, and after a speaking engagement to leverage social media and visibility

    We'll provide you with plenty of examples and templates.

  • Pitch Yourself as a Keynote Speaker

    How can you become a keynote speaker? We'll talk about what event organizers look for, how to pitch yourself, what to charge, and how to prepare for a keynote. 

    We're going to have some fun and review successful women's keynotes to deconstruct what makes them successful and what you can take from them and add to your own.

  • Uplevel Your Stage Presence and Delivery

    A Master Speaker needs to have a confident and big presence on stage. Through exercises and feedback we provide, you'll work on your energy, preparation, mindset, movement on stage, vocal variation, and use of technology and props.

How The Program Works
  • Live Group Zoom Calls

    Bi-weekly live group calls on Zoom for Q&A and hot seats.

    Calls will be held on Thursdays from 1-2:30 pm Eastern time.

    Calls will be recorded if you miss one.

  • One-on-One Coaching Calls

    You'll have 3 one-on-one calls with your facilitators for personalized feedback and support.

    This is a huge value of this program! We know how impactful one-on-one coaching is. This alone is easily worth $1,000 or more.

  • Private Online Community

    You'll have access to video lessons, worksheets, and templates.

    You'll have a place to ask questions and get and give feedback.

    We use Mighty Networks to host the online community. You can access it via your browser or their (very nice) mobile app.

  • Action Plan

    You'll get specific homework and action steps for each module that we'll review in our online community site and during the group calls.

    Accountability and deadlines are essential elements to getting you from where you are now to where you want to be.

  • Ongoing Review & Feedback

    Continuous improvement is what we're after. You'll get review and feedback from your facilitators and the other women in the program on your homework, including your presentation slides, audio or video recordings, speaker marketing materials, speaking packages, speaking page, etc.

  • Curated Group Participants

    The women in the program will be selected who are at a similar level of speaking experience, with similar goals, and who speak on a variety of topics and come from different industries.

    We expect you'll get to know each other well and come to rely on each other for input and support.

Upon completion of the program, you'll earn our Master Speaker badge.

As a Master Speaker, you'll be listed on the Speaking Your Brand website as a speaker for hire, including your photo, topics, and links.

Carol Cox

Carol Cox is the founder of Speaking Your Brand and host of the Speaking Your Brand podcast. Carol speaks on women's leadership, women in politics, and business storytelling. During election seasons, she serves as a Democratic political analyst on TV news. Carol has a Master's degree in History and lives in Orlando, FL.

Diane Diaz

Diane Diaz is a Certified Speaking Coach with Speaking Your Brand. Diane speaks regularly on personal branding, LinkedIn strategy, and women's empowerment. She is also the founder of The Brand Teacher and is an Ironman triathlete. Diane has a Master's in Business Administration and lives in Orlando, FL.

When does the program start and end?

The program runs for 6 months. Dates will be announced for 2020 in January.

When are the group calls and how do they work?

The bi-weekly live group calls will be held on Thursdays from 1-2:30 pm Eastern on Zoom (video).

We strongly encourage you to attend live so you can interact with the other people in the group (you’ll get a lot more out of the program).

But, if you can’t attend a session, the calls will be recorded.

How do the one-on-one coaching calls work?

As part of this program, you get 3 one-on-one coaching calls on Zoom with our facilitators.

This is an incredibly valuable part of the program. We know the power of one-on-one work.

You can use your calls to go over your talk content, delivery, speaking proposals, promotional materials, visibility plan, and anything else you need to transform from a regular speaker to a Master Speaker.

You'll be able to schedule your calls once the program begins and you can use them anytime during the 6 months the program runs.

Your calls will be recorded and you'll receive a copy to refer back to. 

How does the private community work?

You will be invited to a private membership site on Mighty Networks for participants of this program only.

In it, you’ll have access to all of the training materials and be able to share what you’re working on, get feedback, ask about conferences and organizations you’re interested in, etc.

Mighty Networks is accessible via your browser as well as a (very nice) mobile app.

We intentionally chose not to use a Faceboook group because we want you to be focused and not distracted. 🙂

Is this a course or coaching or a mastermind?

It’s the best of all 3.

You’ll get access to training materials (worksheets, templates, short video lessons) we’ve created.

But, this is much more than a course because it’s live and you get support.

You have access to us in the private membership site and during the group and one-on-one calls to ask questions and get direction. We’ll also be personally reviewing your script/slides and audio/video practice of your presentation and giving you feedback.

And, the best part is the group aspect: hearing other people’s perspectives and insights is invaluable in finding your unique angle and making your presentation interesting and E.P.I.C.

Plus, we’ll help keep you accountable on your goals and thinking bigger!

How many people will be in the program?

We're limiting the size of the group to 10 women, so you’ll have plenty of time during the live calls to ask questions and get to know the other women.

How much time will I be spending each week?

Plan on spending about 3-4 hours per week.

Do I need to already have a completed presentation or signature talk?

No, you don't have to have the *final* version of your signature talk or keynote already done.

You'll be spending the first module working on your talk - you can either create a new one or refine/repurpose one you already have.

If you do already have a signature talk (especially if you've worked with us before), you're in an excellent position to hit the ground running.

 

 

What if I’ve never been paid to speak before?

That's ok - that's why you're here!

Many of us speak for free for brand awareness and lead generation, which is great.

But, there comes a time when you've gained enough experience and credibility to start asking for money.

This program is going to help you create the speaking materials and packages so you can ask with clarity and confidence.

How much does the program cost? Is there a payment plan?

Program fees will be announced in January 2020. 

Pay in full and payment plans will be available.

What is this Master Speaker badge?

Upon successful completion of this program (you have a completed talk, with E.P.I.C. layers and a strong and confident delivery), you'll receive a Speaking Your Brand Master Speaker badge.

You can place this badge on your own website (such as on your Speaking page).

You'll also be included on our "Hire a Speaker" page on our website, with your name, photo, topics, and links, so event organizers can contact you.
